How does the steaming function work?
The SoftPaw Steamy Brush uses advanced "cool steam" technology. By adding water (and optionally a drop of pet-safe essence) to the tank, the brush releases a fine mist that slightly dampens the fur.
This makes it incredibly easy to remove trapped undercoat hair without it flying around, while providing a soothing massage for your pet.
Is the steam hot? Will it burn my pet's skin?
Not at all. The brush uses ultrasonic technology to create a cool/room-temperature mist, not hot steam.
It is 100% safe and will not burn or irritate your pet's sensitive skin. Most pets find the sensation very relaxing.
Can I use it on both cats and dogs?
Yes! The SoftPaw brush is designed for all furry friends. It works perfectly on both cats and dogs, whether they have long, short, or curly hair.
The silicone bristles are soft enough for kittens and effective enough for larger breeds.
How do I clean and maintain the brush?
Maintenance is simple. After each grooming session, you can easily peel off the collected hair from the silicone pad.
The brush is designed with a waterproof exterior, but we recommend wiping the bristles with a damp cloth. Make sure to empty any remaining water from the tank if you won't be using it for a few days.
Do I need to add anything to the water?
You can use plain tap water for excellent results. However, many of our customers like to add a few drops of no-rinse pet essence or conditioner to the tank to help with detangling and to leave their pet's coat smelling fresh and looking extra shiny.
